From January 15 to March 3, 2019, the roof of the Grande Arche hosts one of Jean-Marie Perier’s biggest exhibitions.
Jean-Marie Périer is the photographer of the stars, who began his work in the 60s, realizing in particular the pictures for the posters of the magazine for teenagers “Hi Les Copains“.
We are discovering the freedom, imagination and fantasy that had made its success in the 60s and the biggest names in fashion. A giant exhibition of more than 300 photos, one third of which are unpublished, these are his “Memories of the future”.
The fruit of 40 years of passion will be displayed in the cultural space of 1200m2 of the roof of the Grande Arche
The 60s and 90s in pictures!
These are the two great periods that Jean-Marie Perier chose to exhibit for this unique retrospective, unseen by its size and by the number of artists represented: the 60s with all the related music scene, the inevitable of the yéyés to the greatest Anglo-Saxon artists, such as James Brown, the Beatles, Mick Jagger, and the 90s where he photographed the greatest fashion designers: couturiers, new rock stars, models … we find celebrities such as Johnny Hallyday, Mick Jagger or Marianne Faithfull song side, but also Jean-Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent or Tom Ford for illuminated the world of fashion.
Even if you have not known this great era, the photos of Jean-Marie Périer on the roof of the Grande Arche will certainly plunge you back into this era where (almost) everything was possible …
