Trompe-l’œil (Eye-deceiving): the new exhibition that fools its visitors!

Until November 2012, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (or the Museum of Decorative Arts) will make you doubt with the exhibition about eye deceivers and other illusions! You’ll stumble into another time, another perspective and you’ll try to guess the right concept and the function of the object exposed. For a period of one year and a half, the exhibition Trompe-l’œil, imitations, pastiches et autres illusions (Eye-deceiving, imitations, pastiches and other illusions) will mess with you by trying to fool you with the reality of the image! With its suggestive titles, “that fools tremendously”, “2D are tricked”, “sewed with white thread” or even “fake-ass”, the organizers may help you find the solution… One of the most astonishing retrospectives of the year.
