Don’t fall for it!

Not many of the big capitals are built around a river. And even fewer of them can boast about having cleaned up and urbanized these rivers’ little islands for almost 400 years. This may explain the unawareness of some people… A case in point, this nice man who was dying to stay at the Jeu de Paume but who asked over the phone, with a noticeable worry, until when he could arrive on the island. Hearing the obvious incomprehension of Stéphanie, our receptionist, he added “until when do the boats get passengers to the island?”. It has not been so easy to tell him gently and respectfully that we were fully equipped with bridges since Henri IV at least! One very poetic anecdote which still makes us smile.
