L’Ile aux Images: temple of illustrated posters
The Ile-Saint-Louis is the home to one of the most captivating art galleries in Paris. Since 1976, it has been the place to find Art déco posters or posters from the Belle Epoque, made by the greatest figures of a century in the history of art, from 1850 to 1950. You will therefore inevitably come across a marvel designed by Jules Chéret, Pierre Bonnard, Alphonse Mucha or Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Be patient, the Ile aux Images gallery will help you find the poster of your dreams. In this den of art, there are also historical and vintage photographs, old postcards, original lithographs such as Les Maîtres de l’affiche, and also art books. A lovely venue to rediscover this popular advertising art.
Open from Monday to Saturday from 2 to 7 pm (and on appointment).
