La Charlotte de l’Isle
After 33 years spent on the Ile-St-Louis, Sylvie Langlet leaves room for a new manager, Mrs Soula, as passionate as her about delicacies. La Charlotte de l’Isle just reopened its doors and still offers old-fashion hot chocolate that built the reputation of the place, but also chestnut, marble or pastis and anise cakes. You can also taste Olivier Langlois tea whose “tea hearts” (heart-shaped bags with rose or jasmine petals) are adorable. The most daring will try the Oriental coffee. After 10 years spent in Tokyo where she obtained her diploma at the Cordon Bleu school, Mrs Soula wanted to share her passion of cuisine, bakery and pastry. Job well done: by taking on La Charlotte de l’Isle, she managed to preserve the charm of the place thanks to puppet shows for children that will start again in March/April. Other workshops will take place on a regular basis for children: origami, tea ceremony, Japanese floral arranging (“Ikebana”)…

Open from Wednesday to Sunday from 2 to 7.30 pm.
