A Monumental exhibition!
Who has never heard about Monumenta? For its 5th edition, it’s Daniel Buren, one of the most renowned French artist worldwide that takes over the nave of Grand Palais. The creator of the Palais-Royal´s columns was given carte blanche just like his predecessors Anselm Kiefer, Richard Serra, Christian Boltanski and Anish Kapoor, to create his monumental work. The visitor is also invited to get into a forest of colored discs creating a kaleidoscope. The Grand Palais is also coloring itself in blue, yellow or green depending in the intensity of the luminosity, coloring the floor and the persons that are present. The artist wishes to give back sense to the architecture of the place, with panache.
